CanRehab Stories

Becky was incredible support throughout my training for Plymouth Half following my recovery from cancer.  She helped me build the fitness and confidence I needed to complete the course, all while keeping me injury free in the lead up the event.  I could not have done this without her!

Becky helped me immensely with my recovery post treatment for cancer. I went from being unable to climb stairs to running a half marathon! Her careful and considered approach to fitness made that possible for me with my limitations. Constantly available for advise and support! She even ran my first ever 5km Park run with me!!  She also paced me at London Landmarks and agreed to dress up as Disney characters.

If you're looking to get fit and improve your health then Becky is the wonder woman for you!

Run coaching success stories

I was never a sporty person growing up, always picked last in PE and using every excuse under the sun to get out of PE! I started ‘seriously’ running during the first lockdown, I had previously done half marathons but wasn’t anything serious. I soon got the runners bug and booked several half marathons. Following my first half I started running 5/6 times a week totaling to 50 miles, I got injured (obviously) and that’s when I met Rebecca.

She took me on July 2021 whilst I was still injured and trained me back into half marathon shape within weeks running just 2 minutes below my pb. She has also trained me for a marathon and several ultra marathons and this year I'm going to be doing my first 100 miler. Rebecca has shown me the joy in running again! She has taken into account my mental health and my need to be constantly moving!  I've since gone on to complete 3 x 100 milers, and podiuming in them.  I honestly don’t know where I would be without Team Wass, I can’t wait to see what the future brings (hopefully plenty of PBs!)..

I enlisted Becky’s services to help me get in shape and train for the Coventry Half Marathon in April 2020. She helped me plan my diet and taught me how to fuel effectively for the race.

COVID arrived and my plans were pushed back to a virtual half marathon in November instead. Not only did Becky train me for the race, she also chased me around the 13.1 miles (in the pouring rain, in full fancy dress, I might add). I managed a slow and steady 3 hours.

Fast forward to September 2021, and, following Becky’s plan, I was able to shave 30 minutes off my half marathon time. Not only that, but couple of weeks later I also finished my first marathon!

Not bad, considering I almost used to black out merely from tying my trainers a while back. Would definitely recommend!

Anyone thinking of running with Becky shouldn't think twice. Just do it. Whether you aspire to a magic mile, parkrun, or even a marathon or more, you'll be with a safe and knowledgeable coach who will inspire you to achieve things you might not think possible … and have fun doing it.

I met Becky when she led Sunday Funday runs for Black Dog Running club, a more socialble long run. I believed Becky was crazy then when she said she was running a marathon dressed as Wonderwoman and would be doing several 5 mile laps for training. On that particular day, along with her encouragement I completed my longest run so far of 14 miles.

Having retired from work I discovered there are midweek events where you can more or less choose your own distance within the given time limit, and booked some of these as well as our usual Sunday Fundays. At one such event in March 2017 I 'accidentally' ran my first marathon. I accidentally did a few more, and by May 2018 had completed my 100th marathon. It didn't seem at all out of the ordinary just knowing the bigger challenges, the ultra-marathons and triathlons, that Becky was lined up for, although maybe she was responsible for encouraging me too much.
