Got a Question?

01

What time does it start?

There are various start times based on your expected total times, these will be released once we have your estimated leg times. The idea is to try and have all the teams finishing around the same time.  Winners will be based on total running time.

02

Can you do multiple Legs?

Yes although we require a minimum of 10 runners per team as we want to keep the spirit of a relay.  Also be aware of the water crossings, if you intend on doing the leg either side then your crossing time will be included in your total time.

03

Are there cut offs?

Checkpoints will close at set times, however these will be based on the slowest estimated time.  If there is an concern about not making that cut off, we will set your runner off before you arrive and add the leg times together manually. We want to be as inclusive as possible.

04

Will the route be marshalled?

We will send out GPX files of the route, and will expect runners to self navigate.  We will have marshals at each checkpoint, but it is your responsiblity to know the route.

05

Will you transport runners to each leg?

No, it is the responsibility of each team to get their runners to the start and collect them afterwards.

06

What happens if a runner can't complete a leg?

It is allowable in these circumstances for a runner to start early, although this needs to be communicated to the race director before it happens.

07

What if someone can't take part anymore?

Runners can be changed up to a week before the event. Updated estimated finish times need to be submitted at this point.

08

Is there an age limit?

You need to be 18 on the day of the relay to enter.
